We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

Carmen is not in the shelter; please use the contact info at the end of this description. Carmen is a 5 year old spayed female beagle who is in a foster home. She gets along with the other canines there, and has done well on visits with other people and their pets. Carmen, like all beagles, enjoys food, a soft warm place to sleep, and exploring the outside world, whether it's in her securely fenced yard or out on a hike. She's good on the leash but will put that nose to the ground if she finds something interesting, and it may take a little coaxing to get her to leave the scent behind. She is affectionate and sweet and loves to help in the kitchen without getting in the way. She's a beautiful color with the softest beagle ears ever! Carmen became homeless after an incident with a child over food....anyone who knows beagles, or really dogs in general, knows that children should not be allowed to interact with a dog while s/he is eating! If you are interested in meeting Carmen and making her part of your family, please call 410 880 2488 #3 or always4tucker@yahoo.com
