We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.
Adorable Booker is in our rescue program in a foster home. Call 410.880.2488 ext #3 or always4tucker@yahoo.com.
Booker is about 16 weeks old, and as a lab mix, will be medium to large sized as an adult. He is full of energy and food motivated, so he should be a breeze to train.
Booker is somewhat of a "special needs" puppy, as he is quite shy with new people and nervous in new situations. He is extremely sweet, shows no signs of aggression--just shuts down when he is overwhelmed. He will bond tightly with his family, once he is comfortable. He needs someone with experience with shy dogs, or the willingness to learn the correct way to work with him. We can help! A quiet home with patient people will be best for our baby Booker.
We are extremely fond of Booker, and feel he will be an absolutely extraorinary dog. Nothing is better than kisses from Booker.
Here's how the B puppies came to us: One of our community outreach volunteers was in Baltimore City assisting people with getting their cats fixed through our free spay and neuter program. A young man from a house down the street came running out and asked if we could help with dogs too. His grandfather had 2 labs and a lab/shepherd mix who kept having unwanted puppies. We had room in our foster program for the puppies. Now their mom and dad, as well as the 3rd dog in the home have all been altered.
Booker has been vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and will be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.
