Jake is looking for a special, dog savvy home. He is a 3yr old, neutered male, Miniature Schnauzer who is one of the most loyal, smart and affectionate dogs you may ever meet. Now, that said, he needs someone used to owning dogs and needs you to help bring out his confident and calm side. That means he needs someone who is a leader with patience and consistency. Reminders to be calm help him keep his wits about him if he gets anxious about something, like going somewhere new or going on a leash walk.  He is very affectionate and will come over and lay his head right against yours and just hold it there. Talk about a heart breaker!  This boy is going to thrive in the right home who has time to help him. Jake is vocal when left alone and would not be a good match for an apartment/condo/townhome. He also is unsure with certain types of handling and would do best in an adult home or a home with older teenagers who can understand how to read his behavior. He is so easy to train if you are familiar with dogs and he needs daily exercise to tire his mind. Mon, Wed, Fri 10:00-4:30 (Closed at 2:30 the last Friday of each month)
Tues & Thurs 1:30-7:00
Sat 10:00-2:00 (Closed on county observed holidays and holiday weekends.)
