Stella is not in the shelter; she is in a foster home in our Rescue Program so please use the contact info below.  Stella means "Star" in Latin, and this little girl certainly is one.  After being abandoned by the people who were supposed to take care of her, she has bounced back and decided that starting over is a great idea. 

She is about 3 years old and super sweet--just friendly, waggy and happy.  She will need a fenced yard as she loves to run and play! She is currently in foster care with 3 other dogs and doing well with them.  She has little experience with cats, is not aggressive but might like to chase. She loves her people and has bonded quickly with her foster mom.  She is crate and house trained, she is a chewer and loves her rawhide and nylabones.  She should go to a home with children over 7 due to her exhuberance. She has learned sit and come very quickly and is learning stay. She is current with vet care including being spayed. 

It would be nice to be able to post All-American Mixed Breeds without having to pick a breed.  Stella is in the unfortunate position of looking a little bit like a pit bull, but not enough like one for the true bully crowd.  We hope we can find an adopter who is interested in finding the right dog for them no matter what she looks like.  And she sure is cute:)
