Your Donation Saves Lives!
We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

About Lily

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Calico or Dilute Calico
  • Color: Calico

Lily is a cuddly, sweet-tempered calico girl who is about 6-7 years old.  She was rescued from a neighbor when he passed away.  He had a lot of cats and at that time she had no experience bonding with humans. After some time learning how to interact with people, she has warmed up and is an incredibly sweet and affectionate little girl. She is still skittish around sudden movements, but if you sit on the floor and keep your movements slow and gentle, she comes right over, chirps in a friendly manner, flops down, and asks to be petted (see video ) .

She likes to circle around and give hugs with her body and tail. She cuddles up during naps and shows signs of becoming a true lap cat.

Lily loves her scratching post, catnip toys, watching the birdfeeder, and being brushed and petted. Her coat is long enough that she should be brushed at least twice a week to avoid hairballs. She eats well and is tidy with the litterbox. Her foster home has been feeding been feeding her Weruva brand wet food, which she really enjoys.

Lily is sweet, soft, and gentle with a lot of love to give. Because of her unknown past, which may include trauma, her foster mom believes Lily would do best with a quiet, patient, gentle person and a quiet home. Despite her shyness, Lily did great at the vet and is sweet even when she’s scared.

Lily is spayed, and her rabies vaccination is up to date. She has a healthy weight and a got a clean bill of health at her recent veterinary exam. Please contact us with questions, or to tell us a little bit about yourself at AdoptACat@animal-advocates.org or (410) 880-2488 #3.
