Benji is a gentle, lovely dog who is cuddly and playful. He is very smart and needs a responsible person to protect him. Benji is loyal and great with people he knows. Once he has time to get to know someone new, he remembers them and greats them happily wiggling his nub tail. Benji is an English Bulldog, Beagle mix who is doing well on his measured food diet and his walks to get to a healthy weight. He would do best in an adult home or a home with older teenagers that can be part of his training. He does not like being left alone and is vocal, so he would not be a good match for an apartment, condo or townhome where your neighbor is attached to your wall. Benji needs someone who has had dogs before and is understanding of reading dog language. He is just learning to meet new dogs and if you do a slow introduction, he has enjoyed spending time around other dogs here. You can visit this pet during our Animal Viewing Hours below.
