Rio (44370) is a 4 year old spayed Carolina Dog with a shy but sweet disposition. Rio can be unsure at first, but with some time and patience she really shows her sweet nature with people. In her previous home, Rio lived with a cat, and they got along well.  She knows sit, go, and paw. Here at the shelter, Rio has been introduced to other dogs and has been very playful. We would recommend bringing in your dog(s) to meet her if interested in adopting Rio. Due to Rio’s shy nature, she would do best in a home with children that are older than 6 years old. She did live with teenagers in her previous home and got along with them well. She would make a great companion for someone willing to look past her initial shy demeanor and see what a lovely girl she is.
