Your Donation Saves Lives!
We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

About Annie

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog

We'd like to introduce you to Annie.  Please use the contact info below since she is not in the shelter but in a foster home in our Rescue Program.  Her foster mom reports "She loves to play with other dogs.  She would probably love aa home with another dog to play with. She is fine with cats.

She loves attention and loves to give kisses.  She is definitely not aloof so her new home will have to be one where they are not stingy giving or receiving affection.  She loves to have her chest rubbed while sitting in front or beside you.  She is so loving and sweet. She will be a wonderful dog for someone!
Annie is approximately 3 years old.  She walks great on a leash. She loves going on walks and meeting other dogs.  Like any typical dog if she see's a squirrel she will try to go for it.  She doesn't chew up her toys. She loves her deer antlers and bully sticks. She is also total Lab when it comes to food--she is not above counter surfing which can be prevented by not leaving food out.  She is not a big barker but will bark if stranger comes to the house.  When she does bark it sounds serious so I'm not afraid to walk her in the park at night!

She is skittish around some men.   If they try to grab her it scares her.  Her records show that a man turned her in, so it could be she had a bad experience with her previous owner.  She has never had a problem with my husband or adult son but they let her interact at her own pace.
