We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.
Adoption pending--Gigi is not in the shelter; she is in a foster home in our Rescue Program so please use the contact info below. Poor Gigi is with us because her human Mom died very suddenly and unexpectedly. She was the love of her Mom's life and at 5 years old, she finds herself in the sad position of having to start over with a new family. She is super sweet and friendly with everyone. Gigi is good with other dogs and although she didn't live with cats, appears to be fine with them. She is well-behaved and was used to being taken everywhere, even into stores and college classrooms. For this reason, her ideal placement would be someone who is home quite a bit, or who can take her to work. She is quiet except when left alone. The life she knew has been wrenched from her and she needs someone who will be happy to make her the center of their world. She weighs about 12 pounds so is perfect for a lap.
Gigi is a Pets On Wheels dog, which means she was approved to visit and bring joy to the residents of Nursing Homes and other similar facilities. She was also a regular at the Worthington Dog Park where she has many fans and supporters:)
Familiarity with the breed would be a plus. Like many Shih Tzu, Gigi has a history of bladder stones so she needs to be monitored and eat a special diet.
Please give us a call at 410.880.2488 ext 3 or always4tucker@yahoo.com to talk more about Gigi and our adoption process.
